How usernames work
What makes a valid username?
Lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores. Must start with a letter or number. Between 3 and 30 characters. No spaces, no special characters.
Can I change my username?
Not yet — username changes aren't available in the current version. Pick carefully. Future updates may introduce a one-time rename.
Why is my username unavailable?
Either someone already claimed it, or it's reserved by the platform. Reserved names include system paths (app, api, admin, etc.) and brand terms.
Your public profile
Where does my profile live?
At username.onlyafterdark.world. That's your URL. Share it anywhere.
What can I put on my profile?
A display name, short bio, tagline, location (optional), avatar, and up to as many links as you need.
Can I make my profile private?
Yes — from your dashboard settings, you can toggle your profile visibility. A private profile won't appear in Explore or be publicly accessible.
Links
What kinds of links can I add?
Any valid URL starting with https://. We have presets for Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, GitHub, Spotify, Discord, and LinkedIn. Custom links are fully supported.
Are there any link restrictions?
Links must start with https:// (no http). Malicious or deceptive URLs will result in account suspension.
Can I reorder my links?
Yes. Drag and drop them in your dashboard. The order you set is the order visitors see.
Customizing your page
What can I customize?
Accent color, background color, button shape (rounded, pill, sharp, or outline), and font (Inter, Geist, Space Grotesk, DM Serif, or Playfair).
Can I preview my changes before saving?
Yes — the theme editor shows a live preview of your profile as you adjust settings.
Analytics
What's tracked?
Profile page views and individual link clicks, with timestamps and referrer data where available. We don't track visitor identities.
How far back does data go?
The dashboard shows the last 30 days by default. All historical data is retained.
